Project name: UrbanLinks 2 Landscape
Project description
UrbanLinks 2 Landscape is implemented as part of the EU programme Interreg Europe, with participants from Germany, Italy, Sweden, Great Britain, Latvia and Poland. The main purpose of the project is to popularise good practices and promote innovative solutions in abandoned farmland remediation by creating multifunctional, public green spaces, and gathering valuable experience in appropriate design and management of vegetation. This refers in particular to greenery created in neglected areas for which there had been no plans.
The partners of UL2L project have undertaken to compile a set of inspiring information and propositions for planning development and management of urban green spaces in their countries.

During the preparation of the Action Plan, six meetings of the stakeholders’ group and individual meetings were held. The stakeholders contributed to the development of the Action Plan by submitting their ideas and providing different perspectives on the planned actions.
On the basis of the experience gained from the international workshops and meetings with regional stakeholders, good practices were identified and the projects following the thematic scope of UrbanLinks 2 Landscape and the Silesian Voivodship Development Strategy and the Regional Operational Programme were defined, which may also shape the 2021-2027 Financial Framework.
