One of the most important and most frequently visited paths in the Silesia Park, the Scouts’ Avenue underwent a comprehensive upgrade, including new pavement and storm drain system. The final inspections were completed in August 2020. The upgrade works included the section from the roundabout at the Silesian Stadium to the Maple Avenue. With separate lanes for pedestrians, roller-skaters, cyclists and motorists, the Scouts’ Avenue is now a much safer route. The pavement was replaced on a 1 km-long section and new signage was added. Pedestrians can now use new walkways with cobblestone surfacing. A new storm drain system was also added. In 2019, with the funds from the Silesia Park Modernisation Programme, the section of the Scouts’ Avenue between Parkowa street and the roundabout at the Silesian Stadium was renovated.
